Important Notice regarding COVID-19
Important Notice:
September 4, 2020
Dear Parents/Guardians,
In the past few days, RSD has had a number of positive COVID-19 cases that have affected both students and staff. In being proactive and taking precautions to prevent future spread and a larger outbreak, we will not be conducting classes on campus for the next two weeks.
As of September 8th, RSD will be conducting lessons through a virtual platform and/or learning packets. On-campus classes will not be held. Teachers will be at the school working and available for any support that might be needed. For those that can utilize the virtual learning platform, please continue to check your Google Classrooms and look for your work. Completion of work, through the virtual platform, will be checked and monitored by the classroom teacher. For those of you that need to complete your lessons through a form of packets and paper/pencil work, you can begin picking up your work in the RSD Auditorium on Wednesday, September 9th. The auditorium will be open from 8AM-3PM each day for work pickup. Unlike in the Spring, this work will be taken up and graded, so it is imperative that you come up to the school at some point and pick up the work for your classes or turn in the work through your Google Classroom.
“Grab and go” meals will be provided by the RSD cafeteria outside of the cafeteria from 11AM-1PM. Both breakfast and lunch will be provided between these times. The lunches will be served at no cost for students 18 years and younger.
On campus classes will resume as normal on Monday, September 21st. At this time, all work will be turned into teachers.
We apologize for any inconveniences this may cause. However, this was a decision that made in the interest of safety and stopping the spread of the virus. As always, please feel free to contact the school and talk to an administrator if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Clay AnglinSuperintendent
