On Friday March 27th, 2020, representatives from the Richton School District will ride the bus routes to get a count of the number of meals needed to be handed out to students in the upcoming weeks due to students being out of school due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
Students who are car riders or where no one is home when we come by, you will be required to call the district office (601-788-6581) to request a meal. We will need your address and the number of students who attend the schools that will need meals provided.
The meals will cover lunch for the day of the delivery and breakfast for the following day.
We plan to start delivering the meals on Monday, March 30th.
Richton School District Hours of Operations:
District office will be open Monday-Thursday 8AM-3PM and 8AM-11:30AM on Fridays.
High School office will be open Mondays and Wednesdays 9AM-1PM
Elementary office will be open Tuesdays and Thursdays 9AM-1PM
NOTE: Richton School District is NOT accepting any face to face meetings at this time. You must call the school in advance to ask any questions and at this time, a face to face conference may be scheduled if appropriate.
Teachers will begin working on packets of information and posting online work this week for students to work on while they are out of school due to the COVID-19 outbreak. We will use a variety of online resources and pencil/paper packets to distribute assignments. Hopefully these packets and online work will be ready along with instructions for pickup by Monday, March 30. Continue to check the Richton School District webpage and Facebook page for more updates and information in the coming days.
